River Read Books supports the community literacy program. Every year, we donate a percentage of our total earnings for the improvement of public libraries. This has been the advocacy of our company fro the beginning.

This year, we wish to encourage you to join our cause through our Adopt A Book Program where you buy books from our store which will be donated to the Broome County Public Library.

Does it sound like a good cause? Would you be willing to donate a book? Here is how you can join. The administrators of the Broome County Public Library have sent us their wish list for books that they would like to have on their shelves. River Read Books has already sourced the books from our suppliers and we are selling them at discounted prices for this cause. If you want to donate books, you can purchase them from our store or online. When buying from our online bookstore, please specify that the book you ordered is for the Adopt A Book Program so that you can avail of the discounted price. You may also call our store to place your orders.

Their list consists of novels printed in other languages, books written by J. R. R. Tolkien, Jodi Piccoult, Stieg Larsson, Cormac McCarthy, Jane Austen, George Orwell, John Steinbeck, Douglas Adams, Orson Scott Card, Richard Adams, Chuck Palahnuik, Vladimir Nabokov, Harper Lee, J. D. Salinger, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Charlotte Bronte.

If you want to receive a printed receipt for your donation, just inform us so that we can provide you with one. You can use the receipt for tax exemption or discount.

River Read Books will customize the book covers with your name printed on them to commemorate your support for the community literacy program. Together, we can build communities that read for a brighter future.

Thank you for your generosity.
